Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 08/28/2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Codyon (“the App”) processes information. We value your privacy and are committed to keeping your data safe.

1. General Information

  • The App is developed and provided by Tommy Klyeisen (“we”, “our”)
  • The App is completely free to use
  • No data is transmitted to our servers. All processing happens locally on your device or directly between your device and Google services

2. Data Collected by the App

The App itself does not collect or transmit personal data anywhere.
However, in order to provide its functionality, the App may process the following information:

Locally stored data

Device information, contracts, loans, and reminder details you enter. These remain on your device in an app-specific database.

Notifications

The App uses reminder dates and product data, such as name or image which is stored locally to send push notifications on your device.

Google ML Kit (Barcode Scanning)

The App uses Google ML Kit’s code scanner, which is powered by Google Play Services. Barcode and QR code content is processed entirely on the device. However, Google may collect anonymized data such as performance metrics and crash logs as part of its services. For more information, please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy.

3. Google Calendar API Integration

When you enable the Google Calendar feature:

  • The App creates and manages a separate secondary calendar in your Google Calendar account to store reminders
  • The App only requests the minimum necessary permissions:
    • Calendar list access (to detect and, if chosen, delete the app’s secondary calendar)
    • App-created calendar management (to create, update, and delete reminder events in that secondary calendar)
  • The App does not access, modify, or delete your personal calendars or events
  • All data access occurs directly between your device and Google’s servers via the official Google Calendar API
  • You may delete the secondary calendar at any time within the App

For details about how Google handles your data, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy

4. Data Sharing

  • We do not share your data with third parties
  • We do not use advertising or analytics services

5. Data Retention

  • Your data remains on your device unless you delete it or uninstall the App.
  • Calendar events are stored in your Google account until you remove them or delete the app’s secondary calendar per App or manually

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights such as:

  • Accessing the data you entered,
  • Deleting data stored on your device or in the app’s secondary calendar,
  • Withdrawing authorization for Google Calendar access at any time via your Google Account settings

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be published at https://www.codyon.de/en/privacy-policy
